Transition Year Tunes … continued. Sadhbh Sheil, 15, thinks Brandon Flowers hits all the right notes here …
The Killers - Day and Age - I Can’t Stay - Live from the Royal Albert Hall in 2009.
“This is a slight change of tune from what is usualyy expected from The Killers. The slow start may give some the impresion the it’s going to be one of the dreay, drgging songs that some will continually skip on their ipod. But have patience. If you will kindly bare with the angel voice that is Brandon Flowers you will experience the pick up in the tempo and will be head bobbing and swaying by the time the second chorus comes around. It’s is simply a beautiful song and does not contain the that aspect of screaching whatsoever, whenever male artists who shouldn’t try for that high note do and fail, quite miserably. This is not, however, and never will be, the case with the breathtaking Brandon Flowers.”
